TP-Link TL-WR1043ND 300 Mb/s is a wireless router that integrates router, firewall, and access point. The main applications include small and medium-size businesses, one-family houses and apartments. TP-Link TL-WR1043ND provides a quick and convenient way of building wired and wireless network based on one external broadband service. The network, consisting of a number of computers, is additionally protected by firewall.

A big advantage of the device is the possibility of connecting an external USB drive. With this option, each computer on the local network can use such a network drive (NAS). An additional advantage is the ability to set permissions for users ( "full access" or "read only").

TP-Link TL-WR1043ND has many possibilities for securing the network:

• SSID broadcast disable function, limiting the stations to those which use the unique identifier
• 64/128/152-bit WEP, WPA/WPA2, WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK and TKIP/AES encryption.

An important feature of TL-WR1043ND is support of IEEE802.11n standard allowing to transmit data at speeds up to 300 Mb/s.

TL-WR1043ND ensures advanced access control and NAT, its DHCP server supports static assignment of IP addresses. It also enables supporting virtual servers, DMZ zone, remote logging and management.

QSS (Quick Secure Setup). This function allows easy configuration of wireless device for communicating with compatible Access Point. Pressing QSS button on the device and the AP, the user triggers automatic configuration of both devices. The whole procedure takes about 10 seconds.
